Our Story

We understand the struggle of opening up a food business from scratch, with limited funds, and no help. The countless time, money, and hair pulling really added up. We started Gastros Craft Meats in 2015 as a food truck and catering company. We made super small batches of hotdogs in a still local restaurant, Cook & Dagger in Greenville, RI. We quit our full time jobs in 2016 and went full time with Gastros. To say we were afraid is an understatement but we adapted, learned, and rose above. Fast forward to today, Gastros Craft Meats is a wholesale/retail company that has their artisanal charcuterie products in over 100 stores nationwide and counting. After learning so much so fast we decided to open up a commissary kitchen to be part of the Rhode Island food community and offer the best rates around, with the best service. We even offer our experience and knowledge with our consulting services, boasting modest rates. We want to teach you, we want to learn from you, and most importantly we want to grow with you.
